Hmmmm.... using my supersonically precise 31 December 2012 financial relativity theory gold price as the foundations for trading is interesting. Perhaps I should go into the double your money back price guarantee investment insurance business. <i did the December bull put spread long the dec 150 put and short the dec 165 for 8.30 credit ( 10 contracts) and also went long the dec 155 calls and short the dec 170 calls at 5.80 debit (20 contracts)....maximum possible loss on these positions is 18,300.00...max gain is 26,700.00...amount of actual cash invested is 3,300.00 . >

Or maybe I should not since I have no idea what the first half of that means and no idea how to calculate the second half, let alone how to offer price insurance on the $1727 31 December 2012 price.

But I was pleased to short GLD within hours of the maniacal peak a few months ago and to cover very close to the recent bottom. My first gold ownership [albeit back to front]. I can see how people get addicted to gambling. "Hey that was easy. I'll double up next time".

Might be best not to treat it as a promise or you might lock yourself into a bung position: <per my promise to Maurice > Since I already don't recall your promise, you'll have to be in charge of that yourself.

I never did find out whether GLD has actual gold in the vaults, whether it is gold, or gold-coated tungsten or lead, and whether there are actually the right number of bars of gold of the correct weight in the store room.
