Hi Chinu, I just posted several posts debunking the rosy December numbers. Remember, I'm a numbers guy. So I never take "headline" numbers at face value. I'm in the business of getting to the root cause of things through data analysis. Check out my other posts this morning for a response to your question. Short answer. Things aren't as rosy as it is being portrayed. The headline numbers are hiding the rotten core of our economy, which continues to deteriorate. There is no conspiracy. There is simply a herd mentality wishing so bad for good numbers that everyone is grasping at any good news as final proof. Politicians are simply doing what they always do. They will take one number out of context and sell it to you as the good news of how great they are doing at helping you. More discerning minds look deeper. So my question back to you is, are you one of the more discerning minds? Is your mind open enough for that?
