One of the industrial gases & supply companies used to have an expense line for "government compliance" costs added into their invoices.....it seemed that they tried to keep it at a rate that was probably smaller than the actual cost and I think the idea was to be educational and thought provoking. It was a bit of a bold idea.....I think it would have been better received had they just put a notation on the bill outlining the savings that could have been achieved absent so much governmental interference and paperwork as opposed to a line item expense.
