I have always considered myself to be in a group of one on SI. People who figured me to be more than an individual have found out otherwise through interaction with me, including some who have been very kind to me from time to time. For example, LL and I disagreed strongly on occasion but he was always kind and respectful to me personally... same with Bill.

I would have no problem publishing a PM sent to me, which was intractable and untoward with regard to another poster, especially if I felt the other poster was being abused in the process. If I felt the issue could be handled by a simple PM response I would handle it that way. I doubt Bill had any way of knowing he was the only person receiving such PMs from you and it would be logical for him to conclude you were doing it as some sort of broader agenda. But I have no way of knowing what your purposes were other than what you say and what seems reasonable. I don't see any reason to conclude other than what you present as your case, but I can see how it would have been viewed otherwise without such disclosure. That being said, even a single such post could be construed as ganging up two-on-one. just sayyyin...
