I'd say that any stock from a late entrant that moved more than say 5% between 12/31 and the date of entry should use the price on the entry date rather than the price on 12/31.

I agree with you rkrw, in that I tailored my picks for a year long contest. Though I do not think fast movers (or are they fat movers) unless representing a buyout would have much impact on the entire years results, I do think Biomaven's view that 5% or greater movers should not be allowed to be picked after the 1st of January in anyone's portfolio.

I could also correct my portfolio and say that I meant to pick REGN instead of RGEN. I do have REGN in my personal portfolio but not RGEN, but I did not pick REGN for the contest due to its huge move this past year.

I suspect that rkrw did not submit his portfolio yet because of the copycat scenario?
