I think Cogito is suggesting that he'd like to see a man OR woman in that situation have better protection- and that a young mother with a small infant might be better off nearer to services. And quite frankly I think that too. This woman has an infant- if it was dying, or in a potentially life threatening situation, would that baby have to wait that long for medical assistance? Because if so, that baby would be a dead baby. I guess you have every right to live so far away from medical and police service that you take your life in your own hands, but when you have an infant, or children, I don't think that's a "good thing". I would wish for people that they could get help when they need it- expressing that wish is not a judgment upon our little miss. It's a hope that she can get care when she needs it. And I would feel the same about a man taking care of an infant or child. Adults- well- they can make their own choices, and if they want to live so far away from help that they die on their own, that's their lookout.

And Cogito I apologize in advance if I got what you were saying wrong.

Steve, I haven't criticized her actions. I don't know what you're talking about.
