I know (and by "know" I mean I've been introduced to them, or am related to them- would not associate with these people by choice) mostly Megachurch people, and some rather weird Ky Southern Baptists- none of whom strike me as being a bit like Jesus. Glad to know you know some people, though.

I saw a piece on your money this morning talking about how little girls were being taught to save for college as it is so expensive. That is all wrong. Education is the whole ball game. I know it is! Knowledge directed Perception i.e. one cannot see what one does not understand. And we need to educate everyone to the degree possible, which means we need either free education or provide it at a very low cost like in the 50's and 60's. And we need eduction to fit the person. Everyone had strong and weak points in education so educate around that, but eveyone, everyone can benefit from an education. Without an eduction people cannot understand complex problems. I am sorry, but that is the simple truth. And recent reseach has shown knowing two languages is a powerful mind enhancer, so I am a new advocate of every primary school teaching spanish right alongside english starting at 2.5 (or younger) years in free pre schools. The study said that having the mind need to make a decision whether to think in one language or another was a powerful exercise for the mind. We have this huge Hispanic population, so let's be a coutnry with two primary languages.
