The key variables to me are not with Romney but with the opposition--just how much they dislike the thought of his presidency, how willing the laggards are to give way to the winners, how well organized they are, and how much money they can muster. One of the more interesting things in that comment is that the commenter sees a three way race to the convention--Romney, Paul, and a social conservative. I hadn't really cut it up that way but it makes a lot of sense.

>>The flip side is that Romney will have money, organization, huge staffs and a lot of endorsements by Super Tuesday, which neither Santorum, Gingrich or Paul will be able to match, even if they are the focal point for the anti-Romney vote.<<

The three stooges also have to contend with each other, while Romney can continue to safely stay above the fray, talking about how much he loves America and how big a threat to liberty Obama is.

His biggest problem remains that he's such a huge, obvious phony. Even on the right, people can't stomach his obvious lack of sincerity. He's his own worst enemy in this race.

PS: Must include this story about my daughter, ten, who on seeing a picture of the Stooges on a restaurant wall, said, "Hey, look! It's the Three Weirdos!"

PPS: The Stooge analogy is funny, but imperfect, as Perry is still in the race. A fourth stooge.
