At the risk of inserting myself in the middle of this I will pose a question.

We all have an agenda of changes we would like to see in this country and the world. My impression is that John does not think it is necessary to compromise on anything. I believe and maybe others agree that getting 80% is better than insisting on 100% and ending up with little. The democrats attack of painting republicans with the brush of unwilling to compromise has been successful at convincing the average dumb american that republicans are bad. While I am not willing to change my core beliefs I am will to change the tone of my rhetoric if it means winning the argument.

My question is can the conservative movement make more of an advance by plain speaking the truth about where we are and what we want, or can the conservative movement make more of an advance by hiding or couching our agenda as the democrats have done so successfully?

Democrats are winning. What will change that?
