Howdy Lee. Well, before today, I would have agreed with what you said in your previous post. Im sure you now know about the earnings estimate increase by now. Ive never seen such a big boost, that was nearly a 50% upwards increase.

With earnings estimates higher, it gives some support to the higher PE, but it still does not quite justify a PE of 80. It might be supported by the PEG (price earnings to growth rate). PEGs are most often done by 4 to 5 year estimated earnings growth rates, though. If you or I can find out AVEs expected EPS in 2000-2002, I can run a PEG and tell you if the current price is justified.

BTW, did you also see today that Boston Scientific took a hammering because they are not prepared enough to enter the stent market yet? Im not sure of the specifics, you would have to go to the newswire to get those, but its great news for AVE.

If Im not on again in the next few days- have a happy Thanksgiving.

Hi Lee. Guess what- Im back in AVE again. My friend says the stock will keep going up, but he wont (actually he cant) tell me why. I trust him, so I bought back in. He said he has heard talk of the stock hitting the 90's by mid 1998. Im not sure if this is a good idea or not, the PE is over 100 now, but only time will tell...
