So if you're a Christian or a Jew and charged interest you can object to it on moral grounds? Thanks for the quote. I will now be able to the explain to the bank or government when I get an interest charge that I refuse to pay it on moral grounds. If they pursue the matter it will be nothing short of discrimination of religious beliefs that I just adopted.

If you came into my bank, quoting the bible saying interest is bad, I would tell you to please leave and try borrowing somewhere else. Unless of course you were looking for somewhere to deposit funds. I would offer to take all your money and I would agree to pay you no interest in biblical compliance: <Just today I talked to a retail banker and mentioned the phrase from Ezekiel 18:13, 18:17

13 that given forth upon interest, and that taken increase; shall he then live? he shall not live--he that done all these abominations; he shall surely be put to death, his blood shall be upon him.

In fact, I hereby offer to accept your money. Will you transfer it by wire or post a cheque?
