You are overlooking the fact you live in a society. That society protects you and allows you to live a comfortable life. You are not doing that on your own!

And so society makes rules for the good of everyone and for the good of the society. We have to fight wars to defend ourselves.

And a strong society will win more often than a weak one. And good health is important to the society.

But even more important, is the moral character of a society. A society is judged by how it treats its members. And universal health care is a decision most highly moral societies have made. And civil rights.

<<<Annnnnd, so I get to my original point; everyone has their own "strokes" and it shouldn't be up to others to dictate what those strokes may be. Individual responsibility. I think people who live in inner cities are missing a lot - but I would absolutely never tell them they should go someplace else.
