If treasuries and dollar drop together

RM, hope you can shed some light on something. When people say treasuries drop --- are they referring to the price of a partiicular bond dropping or the interest rate on the bond dropping? I know one is the inverse of the other but I have no idea (a) which quantity is used to talk about movement on a bond, and (b) which of these two quantities is displayed on a chart. I know I need a crash course on bonds. :)

Thanks, /J
