The percent of the population that turned out in 2008 was 56.8%. That's the highest turnout since 1968, the year Richard Nixon was elected. He had a "secret plan" to get us out of Vietnam.

So I shouldn't express my opinion about Ron Paul because it will "keep people away from the political spectrum," whatever that means? Can I say that Ron Paul named his son after Ayn Rand, who was a horrible person with a horrible and foolish philosophy that is antithetical to virtually everything I value in society? Can I say that many of his ideas are as horrible, unworkable, and unrealistic as Rand's were, and that those ideas would be very harmful to our country if we tried to implement them? I don't think you're really tapped into what the "vast majority" of Americans think, but I hope you're correct about OWS having more support than Obama and Romney. I doubt that is so, but I wish it were.
