IMO there was a way out. Had the Govt taken over the failed
banks and negate derivatives the cancer would've been
removed, was it to late, we will never know. -nfg-

Probably so, but for the UK to print 5x GDP would be like the US printing 70 trillion dollars....maybe the debt collapse and the printing effect cancel eachother to some extent....otherwise would be mind boggling hyperinflation..
