Sounds like deflation in the offing to me, not inflation..

Just heard kind of the same thing from the relatives of an acquaintance of mine here in Hong Kong (one of whom is a property attorney). Mainland Chinese drove up the price of HK real estate and now it appears it teetering on decline/deflation.

Btw, I do like Hong Kong.. Everything's overpriced, except the food.. Sad I only have a few days here to take in the sites..

"everything is overprice" Because money isn't. You can borrow at very low rates, but then people would ask a lot of it for what they own in exchange for that easy money you borrowed at very low rates.

See, the problem is ot the costs of assets. It is the cost of money.
