I'm afraid you missed the point. Businesses want the best people in the same way that the NFL and NBA wants the best people.

Professional sports and collegiate sports form teams based purely on athletic ability. If Blacks possessed commensurate intellectual ability, the ranks of doctors, lawyers, engineers, physicists, chemists, etc., would naturally resemble the NBA or NFL.

Further, if Blacks as a whole were on the same intellectual plane as Whites as a whole, Black unemployment rates would reflect White unemployment rates. Black unemployment would be even higher without the government unnaturally slanting the outcome through the application of affirmative action.
