It is BS. How many times have all of us driven with too much to drink or made a bad decision while drinking that could have been our demise? I buried a couple friends after alcohol related crashes and it was awful. Their families were crushed but the media ended every story with "alcohol was involved." The last comment dehumanized the loss and tragedy in a way that came off sounding like they deserved to die for doing what every person I know has done - driving with too much to drink.

It's hard because on the one hand that information makes people think about the consequences of one, split second bad decision. On the other hand it feels like a dismissal of the tragedy
