Hi AK--yes the position is important--but knocking down a plum with a stone would bruise it and a coconut, with a stone??:)

Let's agree that positioning and choice of object that one would throw needs some thought--yes and method of delivery, is also important.

As a boy, I once was using a catapult--sling-shot--just aiming at a particular point on a tree competing with a couple of other friends to see who could get closest to it. The stone hit a branch and rebounded right back and hit me on the forehead--causing it to bleed profusely. I got little sympathy from my mother on that occasion.

Now what does all this have to do with trading: let's see:

The type of stone--equates to the trading instrument/size of position

The method of delivery---equates to short-term or long term position

Positioning oneself--equates to knowing when to be long or short
