Fine, Republic, call it what you want. But why not elect people who represent your ideas. That is legal you know.

There was a little more to my post than pointing out that we are a republic. Remember the original point was, in a democracy "we" are the government. Therefore "we" are the problem. In a republic there is a separate government entity such that it can be the actual problem and therefore Reagan's quote can be and is accurate.

And it is correct that when we elected representatives who ignore the constitution, we are to blame. But there is nothing wrong with pointing out the mistakes so that we can vote them the hell out of office.
