It's kind of obvious that insurers would do that. If you have a tapeworm in your gut, you don't get as much nourishment as you would without the tapeworm. If you have insurance companies sucking off profits from the health care system there obviously won't be as much money IN the system. That's crystal clear to me. I'm not sure why it isn't clear to everyone.

I've had eye problems that related to medicare issues. My provider said precisely the same--oh, if only the private insurance companies were as easy to deal with as medicare. I also have somewhat annual physicals and get the same response.

I tend to chat with folk who do the processing while I'm waiting for it to be done. And every time it's the same story.
