Let me rephrase more precisely: anti-Zionism is the latest fashionable cover for Jew-hatred. It coyly pretends only to criticize the government of Israel. However, the only Israeli action which would satisfy it is national suicide (swiftly followed by the flight or massacre of the Jewish Israelis). Anti-Zionists say: Israel was a mistake,which should be undone. That goes well beyond the pale of criticism. Anti-Zionists don't want Israel to be improved. They want it to be destroyed.

Nobody who criticizes the rulers of Iran wants the nation of Persia to disappear, or is rooting for the genocide of the Persians, so it's not the same.
