For me daily online updates of my portfolios are worth the price alone. I don't mind the cost of an upgrade every few years as long as all of the intended functions work. It's not unusual for a software company to force an upgrade every few years. As stated earlier the daily update has not worked well for my v2011 the last few days. Hope it's a temporary glitch as Q tech support is non existent. Also creates excellent year end reports for tax filing; capitol gains, taxable dividends and interest, non taxable income. And there are some reasonably good portfolio analysis tools as a plus.

I want to enter stock prices by hand - it forces me to concentrate on unusual moves.
I find the cap gains report (for Sched D) useful.
