I have never thought of it like that, but yes, Obama and Gingrich both like to talk. <g> The similarity between them largely ends there though. Newt spent 4 years as a history professor and a second 4 years as a geography professor prior to running for congress. That background naturally gives him a strong base for foreign policy. Also, Newt was instrumental in balancing the federal budget in the mid nineties as Speaker of the House, which in today's runaway spending would be quite valuable. Newt without a doubt is smart as a whip and an excellent debater, but he made a lot of enemies as a budget cutter while Speaker and has been demonized considerably by Democrats. Because of that, although highly qualified, Newt's chances of winning in a general election has been questioned by many.
