I am starting a position soon today or Monday. They report earnings Jan. 24 and if it drops to 32 I will add more. All the bad news(coal price's, weather conditions in Australia) are priced in and then some. The acquisiton of ArcelorMittal should be beneficial since it is a higher margin coal. Coal demand is picking up along with prices.

re BTU @ 34.05$- decided to step up and buy a first lot of BTU at 34.05$.
Pros: Decent management and operational track record. Good position in Australian coal resources. low cost operator.
Cons: Increased leverage (MacArthur acquisition), tiny dividend, headwinds in product prices.

This is also a name I want to own and i am willing to average in.

Clownbuck, it looks like you were right. BTU is now below 32. Coal appears to have peak middle of last year. With China growth rate slowing to 7.5 coal stocks with exports to china are getting hit.

I have started buying some more of BTU.
