My thinking is that koan, in the oblique defense of the liberal AGW position, " you know these guys are mostly democrats, therefore, you're wrong" meme, is just threadbare in today's discussions. He, like the partisans of the echo chamber refuse to acknowledge, that most will agree to SOME aspect of AGW. HOWEVER what they can't (or won't) acknowledge is that the term "settled science" coupled with "move along, nothing to see here" arguments are not too persuasive to us dumb grass roots folk; particularly when evidence to the contrary suggests otherwise.
