It is a little remarkable to me that you think that any govt can successfully "manipulate" a currency. If it was really possible to do that, Japan for sure would have done it with the yen over the past year or two. It is way way stronger than they want it. Just to take a recent example.

What is more important upholding and defendinding the constitution or getting reelected?
