What I like about questions like that is that they're SO far out there, the scientists, the theologians and us ordinary people are all on equal ground, basically knowing NOTHING. Although the theologians will CLAIM they know something, based on faith.

I think of a question like; "is the universe finite or infinite" are basically unanswerable. We've got as much of a chance as answering it as intelligent viri that live deep within our intestines would. Nothing we could prove one way or another at this time.

Some cosmologists that believe the universe is finite believe that we will eventually see images of galaxies we've observed already, as some of the light from them curves around the universe and we see the same galaxy in another part of the sky, simultaneously with the first version.
