Bob this out of my skill level but complicating things 1. Japan is a safe haven play as well as a currency play ( when ever the Yen breaks below 80 to the US $ the Govt steps into sell ) . This protects Toyota's profits . Both events give support to price . As a safe haven think Swiss only on the other side of the globe . 2. Currency markets can be like the fashion industry , some sell some do not .

Although last year the Tsunami costs effected some of this price action . Not sure what happened .

It would be my guess though that you are correct a lot of the $ weakness is Fed induced by QE . It is only a question of time until " Clothing for the Emperor " becomes a problem .

So the weakness relative to the Dollar is fed induced and aggravated by QE of whatever number?
