He is a scientist and commnicates daily with atmospheric scientists around the world. He also teaches physics, chemistry and climatology to earn his pay. I am reading a great book right now. The biography of Einstein by Walter Issacson. The top scientists all know each other and compare notes and use each others research. When Einstein figured out relativity he used the work of many many scientists in many different areas. Today with the internet they are in constant communication wth each other comparing notes.
