So I bet you were never concerned about the mercury levels in your fluorescent lights? There is much higher mercury levels there.

You won't die from a broken bulb. Even if it is higher than 300 times the EPA limit it won't kill you. It is only prolonged exposure such as daily in a workplace where this is a big concern. Now some older fluorescent lights have huge amounts of mercury. Large Neon tubes may have a couple CC's of mercury in them.
