i have an old friend who reminds me of Paul in this respect. He is a very intelligent and perceptive man, but when it comes to FP, or things like "patriot act" and so on, he turns emotional, begins to rant, and I begin to sense a certain disconnect from reality. So, when we talk, I try to stick to subjects where he makes sense... :)

You and I seem to have the same POV. The only major disagreement I have with Paul domestically is the Gold Standard. It's deflationary. You have a fixed amount of gold and a expanding economy. No way out of that fact.
