Thanks for your input Paul. I'll keep an eye on EXC. When looking at a 2 year comparison chart of EXC and it's sector etf XLU ,I can see a clear divergence (sector shown strength, EXC has not). I also see that each time it breached critical support levels (currently 39-38) it rapidly nose dived ('09 &'10). It has already broken the longer term trend line set off the bottom (as it also did in 09 & '10 prior to taking the dive).
I do agree the ute index has not broken down, nor had a reversal on the PnF chart, but is beginning to show weakness and I'm not sure if it's bottoming or creating a new future top,I guess time will tell. As for that time, the chart does show seasonal weakness, it doesn't appear to like the beginning of a new year.
Obviously all this is just my opinion of the chart technicals , not weighing any fundamentals
and comes back to my "what if/just maybe" low ball bid question, so again I appreciate all input.

Although, with current temps of -7 F out and 50 degrees inside my house when I woke up, I may not yet be thinking clearly.
