Well, I've taken books, and copied them on a copy machine...Not as good a job as what you are thinking, but it works....you can then either keep the pages in plastic (archival safe) pages and in a notebook, or have FedEx Kinko put them into a comb or other binder....

Also, check Google Books - put the name of the book in there....who knows, maybe the book has been digitized already then you can easily make copies of the pages....
