The injections of taxpayer money (first the Bush injection, next the Obama one when GM had it's bankruptcy filing, to secure "debtor in possession" status with the bankruptcy court) have nearly been paid back now. Expect the last of the taxpayer money within the next two years or so, even the earlier 'no strings' Bush money.... (so, nothing "pissed away") And, the Obama administration didn't close ANY dealerships, it was one of the necessary expense reduction steps that was taken in bankruptcy court to enable the company to restructure it's debt load so as to emerge from bankruptcy in a viable form..... (Approved by the bankruptcy court.) And, wasn't "take it to bankruptcy court" EXACTLY what Romney was recommending himself? :-)
