Mauro:

I believe each of the underwriters are given a certain amount of shares which they peddle to customers. (usually prior to the actual offering the majority of shares are accounted for - assuming the pricing is right). But that may explain why the stock is teetering around 28 on the open market - that was the offer price on the secondary. The fact that the stock is remaining around 28 with low volume - I can only assume that the placement is not completed. If you can buy at 28, why go to the open market to buy at 28 -1/2?

This is what I was trying to get at with my posts of Thursday. What is a fund manager likely to say (usually) when he answers the offer to buy?

What I mean is he the stock is promoted during and before the road show and then the stock sits at say (50 or 60 or whatever - for example only). Then the process of getting funds from the fund managers starts and ..... then over the few days concerend what is standard practice for the stock price?
