My standard remedy for virus stuff.....at least 3,000 mg of Vit C a day with LOTS of water, more if she can take it...her body will expel any unused C.....and per the old Nutritionist Adele Davis.....it does really help!

You too...both of you have had major stress, so your body immune system is low....so just relax as you can...

I hates those things. But kids develop more immunities, so there is a silver lining.

I have been sick since Saturday with the same symptoms. My eyes have also been bothering me so I've had to stay off the computer and not watch tv or read too much. I get a cold like this every winter and am glad I'm getting it out of the way now. I had my tonsils removed when I was 16 and I used that green Chloroseptic spray KLP mentioned to ease the pain. It really works well and I'd get some for Erika and see if she likes it. It has a minty/medicine taste, but really eases the pain. I've been taking mega doses of vit c, sucking on Halls honey lemon cough drops, drinking lots of fluids and doing a lot of resting. I still feel awful, but I know I'll feel much better in a couple of more days. If you have a vaporizer, try running that too. And using vics vapor rub is another thing she can do that is so soothing.
