Chip this is an opportunity to buy low and sell high.

idiots and computors:
My neighbor works in the operations department in the central office of a large bank. Employees in the field call him when they have problems with their computers. One night he got a call from a woman in one of the branch banks who had this question: "I've got smoke coming from the back of my terminal. Do you guys have a fire downtown?"

Have a nice weekend. John

Chip, if you want to compare then you must use the same time, and you should correct for the beta. Also, the DJI is a very narrow segment of stocks. Finally, for the year, the S&P is up about 22%. I don't recall TLAB's numbers exactly, but I believe they show something of the order of up about 50%.

Regards,

Paul

Chip, your comparision of DJI to TLAB is in my opinion not indicating an under performance but rather the Beta of the stock (volatility). Stock with a higher beta shows higher percentage movements relative to the index. Tech stocks tyically have a beta greater than 1.
