I agree. Enjoying food and wine is very much an earthly delight. Though I have had very old cognacs that might have been gifts directly from God. Except they weren't. ;-)

There is something to what you say about "answers", but as we advanced religion did start to provide some of the answers (time of the solstice etc.)

That's a pretty anthropomorphic reading of the animals I'd say.
