I think there is a lot of credit to that statement.

When GM joined into a prepackaged bankruptcy,Obama assured the unions survival by assigning a percent of the ownership via fiture IPO stocks.

This resulted in the complete loss by both common shaer holders AND bond holders.

This was a pure political pay back and it showed that the huge money the UAW invested in Obama was well spent.

Just the reality folks.

The union and their Jobs Bank was the downfall of the domestic car makers.

Couple that with the extortion like capability that they had to strike one company and let the other competitors build cars was an oligopoly like(should've been illegal) power that the UAW had and extracted uncompetitive pay/security plans from all of the players.

After a while it was like a stock market at a top - so heavy it, needed to come down and adjust -it was then that they held firm and created the demise of the source of their wealth.

To be fair management continually wanted bigger bonusses for less market share reality.

In the end every one robbed what they could get and it needed to go broke.

The investors were the losers.

It is a sad low point in American Manufacturing.

Very true, but all of the failed companies were also on the affirmative action train, hiring and advancing millions of less-than-productive undesirables to please the affirmative action gods...

...and paying for those crimes and mistakes with YOUR taxes.

It angers me to know that GM hired millions of undesirables, while banks produced very risky loans for millions of undesirables. When the inevitable happened and failure resulted, their minions in Clowngress bailed them all out.

Result? Unions happy. GM happy. Banks happy. Clowngress happy. White taxpayers fu¢ked.

Whites had better wake up soon. -ng-
