Your right, the billion dollar question is what those
future cash flows will be. I don't believe you can
expect to determine near term cash flows better then
the consensus estimates. So the question I am asking
is how long Seagates and the industries problems with
inventory and price will last. Unfortunately, my quess
is 6-12 months. I believe that the stock will not advance
significantly until it is clear that the company is
putting its problems behind it.

You were correct in taking your tax loss this year.
Tax losses are a cost of doing business. (holding on
to get even is a poor strategy)
