Most of my hard core hippie friends have good marriages. But it does take the right mix. I know the one I missed! That is a hard memory in old age! I never even dated conservatives. Ever. My last marriage was very sweet. 11 years with a beautiful woman 22 years younger than I. She persued me and both families felt we were perfect for reach other. She is beautiful biologist and very smart and independent. I had a 10 year rule, but had no desire to follow it if she was so sure she wanted me-lol. She kept my last name and we are still very good friends. Not one argument in 11 years. We both say it was right for the time. Neither of us got remarried.
