What's missing here.
When you look at the financials on this company, they're still strong (better than a whole lot of companies out there). P/E is low. ROE is positive even pretty good (it's positive). OK, lets see: technology is par excelance, but advertising needs help, they need to adjust the overstock, they need to grow sales by XX%, and reduce costs (someplace) to keep the margins up and growing, and they need to get better at managing expectations. This fall is from a correction to earnings projections. As I recall, the biggies (Microsoft, Cisco), stay very conservative as they make their projections, and then BINGO they beat the estimate time and again. Perhaps Micron needs guidance from some savvy financial consultants.. IMO if they haven't got it on the inside.... they need to find it on the outside. Maybe they could call WG or JC for some advice :->

What a tough way to start the weekend! Something seems odd to me, sales are expected to be up 30% over last year and 10% over last Q. That's good and seems about in line with expectations. I would be more worried about the prospects for the company if sales were flat or down. I kind of thought the business model was to keep inventory levels low and build to order. Management seems to have deviated from this model to build on spec anticipating greater demand. Now what?
