<B/T my pivot & break points is neutral territory. If I am not currently in a position I will
wait until we either break ABOVE both of these points for a bull signal or BELOW
both for a bear signal (with a confirm from the futures doing the same).>

Okay so what you are saying is that the bull trend is over once you hit the pivot on both and that is why you are going to sell your calls today

TT...you talk about things rubbing off...kevin is hammering into my head about MECHANICS....

as I keep talking about NEWS.....and remember when nothing was mechanical for Kevin.....

Kevin,

As always thanks, I appreciate all your posts, you are a cool cat.. dread locks and all <vbg>

I havent tracked you regularly enough to know when or if you enter a point on a daily basis etc, maybe you ought to make a Kevin thread then we can all retire.. :}

From a very basic perspective, since you have been using your system are you in the positive? I heard that you made up alot of TXN losses from this and last month, thats great.. cant say the same thing.. CPQ bug got me..

Dow has been moving out of sync with the Naz, is that due to more defensive makeup of stocks in the Dow 30 vs the more volitile Naz?

I also expected more upward movement in big namers due to Comdex but it didnt really seem to move the group upwards, some went up but for it being the "showcase" I thought last year was more imfluential to moving the leaders.

I like IOM and TXN (which splits today)

Best wishes for all with this next month.

Electric

Kevin,

I really appreciated you sharing the pivot point information with us. I have been observing your trades using the pivot points and am impressed. I am able to see the same information from my Bloomburg at work. I would like to pose a few questions if you wouldn't mind?

A signal is only generated when both the pivot and/or the 1st support or resistance level is broken as well, is this correct? I have been looking at using this system for trading high volume stocks on an intraday basis as this is how I make my living. I sit in front of a level II screen all day and buy and sell all kinds of stuff. I have paper traded the SPYS using your index system with great results. I am hoping that using pivot points on stocks (obtained from the Bloomburg) will help me capture the majority of a trend for the day. I have about 10 or so stocks that I trade on a daily basis and have the ability to short these stocks as well.

Have you ever looked at using pivot points on equities on an intra-day basis? Can you think of anything that might help "fine tune" this little system? I am looking to take profits of 1/2 point or more on 2000 shares of stock. I have been testing this for about 3 weeks now. Just wondered if you had anything that you could add. If anyone else would like to chime in please feel free to.

Thank you,

Leland
