The behavior of the right these past ten years has made me far more liberal than I ever was before.

I've thought that also. But maybe it's like global warming, you are standing in the same place but everything around you gradually changes until you feel like you've moved.

That may be it. All I know is I find the right more and more repugnant and for the first time in my life, find myself questioning the virtues of capitalism. What I automatically accepted in the past, I look more closely at now.

I think that's it. The things I believe in and stand for haven't changed, but the political landscape has changed greatly. We have people on the right saying things publicly now that they only said in "quiet rooms" previously, and Fox "news" running the spoutings 24/7/365. Then we have audience members in the (R) presidential debates applauding letting people die that can't afford insurance, booing gay soldiers, applauding how many people Rick Perry has condemned to death, etc. It's acceptable on the right now to be a totally selfish, bigoted, greedy ass.
