you know, bill, there is plenty to disagree with romney about, there are things you can agree with coming from ron paul, santorum, gingrich, even perry (assuming he can articulate it)

the point is there is no 'perfect' candidate for conservatives....they have their ideological litmus tests that quite frankly even ronald reagan couldn't pass (remember amnesty?)

it certainly speaks to how broad government control and influence has gotten that even the 'best' conservative will hold some really unfortunate views (most likely politically driven as in the case of romney, doing whatever was needed to reach a consensus)

bottom line is romney is the most electable of the group, if by some quirk of fate one of the rest of the field were to get the nomination, obama wins
