Bob Dole lost to Bill Clinton because he was boring and unappealing to young voters. Newt Gingrich was doing his job and doing it well..................getting in the way of Clinton's liberal agenda, demanding welfare and tax reform........and was hated for it. Considering how effective a legislator he was, it is not surprising or unexpected that Clinton would use him as a tool to achieve his own ends. What surprises me is republicans and some conservatives support the liberal position on this. Now I know I can't always trust a republican.
