J.B.: In the first half hour I watch the largest gainers/losers. Typically stocks will reappear in this list for a number of days in a row, such as ASMLF and TBR, which gives one a chance to become familiar with the current story surrounding the stock. I also have played AMZN, DELL, CPQ, and a few others lately. I got burned on TXN and CTXS. I usually time my entry points(shorts or longs) with a reversal on the Dow chart. After the first hour and half it is more difficult to trade this list as fundamentals seems to kick in and decrease the volatility of issues in the largest gainers/losers.
