Just a friendly heads up that Wikipedia is shutting down the site for 24rs in global protest of the SOPA legislation , so you fellows have only 2 more hours left to get your facts wrong ... wikimediafoundation.org meanwhile you can browse the Victoria & Albert ceramics & porcelin museum pieces collections.vam.ac.uk * long & short can visit the brute "one liner" medieval torture museum, but sorry don't have the link ! ;o)

Not really: The time frames are based on models which are based on uniformitarian assumptions and then extrapolated to the enth degree. Lots of room for error all along the way. Garbage in garbage out. Would you mind so much if i got back to you in 5Bil years on that give or take a 1,000,000,000yrs ? Thats about how long we have left to go before it really starts getting hot in the Red Giant stage but there are oscillating opinions how the end goes , not to say that we're exactly "doomed" just a few changes will have occured between now & then scientificamerican.com Come to think of it with the museums being pretty crowded now what will they be 5000yrs from now ? And just think of the film & book libraries ? And at this rate there will be 15 trillion people on the planet with one square foot only for each of us to stand in ... (live underwater ?) And just think of the global warming then when we are engulfed by the Sun ? ;o)
