yes, i caught the tail end of the stossel show.

some people exalt, and want to return to tribalism. of course that would be a disaster. it takes a nation cooperating to give us the advances we've had. and if we get the cooperation of the whole world, we'll make even greater strides. and the only way to do it is with the self-interest of free market capitalism. the one good thing about tribes was they put the wisest old person in charge. at least they knew they couldn't let children run things or they'd soon die out.

we've got spoiled children in charge right now. and we're going to suffer for it. i used to think the constitution had us on autopilot, but of course it can't work if we don't follow it.

we need more of what you talk about, regarding unrecognized partners on the other side of the planet. instead we get misguided people that think that tariffs are beneficial. we need cooperation, not sharing. we need all of us to use our skills in this life.
